Harvey Braxton Parker, a native of Greenville, AL and longtime resident of Grand Bay, AL, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at the age of 82. He will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts. He retired from Huntington Ingalls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erby L. Parker and Lillie Greene Parker, and three brothers, Erby L., Jr., Kenneth and LeRoy L. Parker. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Kathy Parker; his son, Tony Parker, both of Mobile, AL; his brothers, Douglas (Jo) Parker of Ocean Springs, MS; Tommy (Margaret) Parker of Peidmont, AL; his sisters, Judy Samples of Attalla, AL and Pam Lankford of Gadsden, AL; former wife and friend, Willie Lee Parker; nieces; nephews; other relatives; his church family of New Beginnings Church and special friends, Marti, Deb and Mike. The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the ICU nurses of Providence Hospital and Dr. Casey Melton for their care, love and family support. Funeral services, officiated to Pastors Edward and Sandra Boutwell and Pastor Paul Weaver, will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, September 26, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
