Helen Manning

Helen Juanita Manning, 78, of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 2, 2023. Helen was born and raised in Greenville, AL. She was married to her loving husband, Sam, for nearly 62 years. They enjoyed traveling, especially to the Smokey Mountains to see the leaves change in the fall. They also enjoyed watching the Braves and the Crimson Tide games together. Helen loved spending time in her garden, reading books, and listening to music. Her favorite pastime was making memories with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, James Beader and Oma Beatrice Davidson, and brothers, James Lloyd Davidson, Edward Earl Davidson, and Charles Roscoe Davidson. She is survived by her husband, Sam A. Manning Sr.; children Michelle (John Sr.) Beasley and Sam Manning Jr.; sister Lillian Schatz; grandchildren John (Amanda) Beasley Jr., Kristen (Walter) Petersen, Amber (Johnathan) Day, Sam Manning III, Shane (Aneisa) Herring, and Scott Manning; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
