Helen Mae Cooley Watson, born May 8, 1931 in Port Arthur, TX, grew up in Leesville, LA and was a resident of Mobile, AL for 60 years, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the age of 85. She was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Felder Cooley and Neoma Williams Cooley; her husband, Willie J. Watson; an infant sister, Hilda Rae Cooley and her twin sister, Ellen Cooley Haynie. Her survivors include three sons, Robert Daniel (Debbie) Watson, Alan (Sharon) Watson and David Steven Watson; grandchildren, Tommy, Amanda Leigh, Caitlyn, Kristen, Amanda Danielle, Heather, Wesley, Krysta, Michael, Jamaar, Tony, Carlewis and Justin; three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
