Henry Morgan Hazzlerigg was born on April 24, 1933, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Edgar and Vivian (née Carpenter) Hazzlerigg. Henry passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home in Theodore, Alabama, with his family by his side.
Henry is survived by his children: Kathy Thrash, Bud Hazzlerigg, and Arnold Hazzlerigg; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; his wife of 18 years, Mary; and his sister, Vicky (Eddie) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children: Debbie Hazzlerigg Carley and Earl Hazzlerigg; and his siblings: brothers, Edgar Jr., W.C., Maurice, James, and Larry; sisters, Virginia Hullum and Sally (Lewis) Frazier.
It was an honor for Henry to serve in the United States Air Force and he was stationed in Iceland. While living in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Henry owned his own auto repair shop and loved helping his customers. His hobbies included, fishing, feeding the birds and squirrels, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors.
A parlor service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama the family will receive friends from 1pm until service time. Pastor Jay Towne will be officiating the service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Henry's honor to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 6335 Swedetown Rd N., Theodore, AL 36582
