Herman "Buddy" Dyess

Buddy Dyess, age 85, of Mobile, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Springhill Medical Center. Mobile Memorial Gardens is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Buddy was a faithful member of Government Street Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Panama Canal region. Buddy was a devoted husband and enjoyed spending time with his wife in their mountain home.

He is preceded in death by his sons, Mickey Dyess and Andy Dyess; parents, Wilbur Dyess and Stella Mae Minchew; brother, Benny Dyess; sisters, Katie Mae Lee and Mildred Morris.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Roberts Dyess; sons, Shane Dyess, Todd Dyess (Cathy), and John Dyess (Cara); 6 grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 30, 2020, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. with Dr. Charles Brown officiating. Those planning on attending will need to meet at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home's east parking lot to join in the procession to the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Government Street Baptist Church.
