Hillery Grice

Hillery William Grice- A native of East Brewton, AL and resident of Irvington died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the age of 88. Mr. Grice was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an aircraft pilot since 1954 and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He was co-founder and operator of the Roy E. Ray Airport in Irvington. He also restored several antique airplanes. He was a member of Stearman Restorers Association. Mr. Grice was the owner of and retired from United Fire Protection. He was preceded in death by a son Joseph "Jody" Grice. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Peggy Grice; 3 children, Robby (Angela) Grice, Kim Grice Welton and Phillip (Lisa) Grice; one sister, Linda (John) Maherg; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7, 2015 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday January 8, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to your favorite charity.
