Hugh Rice, Sr.

Hugh Patchell Rice, Sr., a native of Jackson, AL and resident of Mobile, died on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the age of 84. Mr. Rice was an employee of Eastern Airlines for 29 years and was a travel agent with Springdale Travel for 10 years. He was a religious and spiritual man all his life. He is survived by his children, Hugh P. (Roxanne) Rice, Jr., Thomas "Rob" (Rachel) Rice, Jonathan M. (Renee) Rice, Barbara A. Rice, Melissa Comtois and Angela Price; one sister, Doris Barnett; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 12:30 until 2:00 PM followed by funeral services from the Chapel. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
