Ida Maude McKinley Mitchell, a native of Albany, KY and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died suddenly Friday, November 20, 2015 at the age of 83. Ida, lovingly known as "GiGi", lived a beautiful Christian life and is now celebrating with her Lord and family in heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, George McIntosh Mitchell, Sr., her parents and her siblings. She is survived by her son, George M. Mitchell, II; her daughter, Marline K. (Martin) Newton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from Christ United Methodist Church, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations in Mrs. Mitchell's name be made to TBN, P. O. Box A, Santa Ana, CA 92711. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
