Irma Gay Cosby, age 89, a resident of Semmes, AL, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph "Josey" Mitchell Reynolds and Alba Victoria Smith Reynolds; her husband, Mack Cosby; her son, Paul Herndon; brothers, Henry "Johnny" Reynolds, Darrell Reynolds and Josey "Joe Baby" Reynolds; and one sister, Hilda Richardson. Her survivors include one brother, Harold "Geno" Reynolds; one daughter, Vickie "Chesley" Burns; two grandchildren, Arthur "Artie" Smith and Lana Victoria Shape; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her and everyone who ever met her. Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Mobile Memorial Garden Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
