Jack Bunch, Sr.

Jack Durwood Bunch, Sr., born August, 27, 1935, in Edenton, NC and a long time resident of Mobile, AL passed away January 25, 2018 at age 82. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 20 years and also retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service. He was a faithful member of West Mobile Baptist Church. He volunteered in past years with Meals on Wheels and was a former deacon. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. Mr. Bunch is preceded in death by his parents Ellie and Elsie Bunch. He is survived by his wife Clara Lane Bunch of 62 years. Four children: Jack Jr. (Pam), Scott (Sheila), Jeff (Dennise), and Regina Bunch; five grandchildren: Hunter Bunch, Rachel Dunn, Jessica Dopke, Tracey Bunch, and Amanda Powell and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers Jimmie (Myrtle) Bunch and Wayne (Betty) Bunch, and two sisters, Audrey Leary and Glenda (Calvin) Parrish; as well as many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and funeral services will be on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens in Mobile, AL.
