Jack Forbes

Jack Forbes, age 86, of Grand Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2019, at Providence Hospital.

Jack was born on June 19, 1933, in South Bend, Indiana.

He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 1994 and enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants with his grandson, Nicholas Murphy.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Daina Forbes and two sons, Perry Forbes and Pat Murphy.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Rhoades and Kathleen (Jimmy) Murphy and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the doctors and staff of Providence Hospital and Covenant Care Hospice for the dedicated care they showed Jack.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
