Jack Payton McNider, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at the age of 82. Jack owned and operated McNider's Automotive for many years. He was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church and volunteered delivering meals to the homebound. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time at the Gulf. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Payton McNider and Melba Hinson McNider; his wife, Juanita Rose McNider; and two sisters, Barbara Ann "Boo" McNider Wimpee and Yvette McNider Stallworth. His survivors include his daughter, Debbie McNider Beam; his son, David Grey McNider; one sister, Peggy McNider (DeWitt) Camp; four grandchildren, Joshua, Nina, Kolby and Karlynn; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mr. McNider's name be made to the American Cancer Association, 900 Western American Circle, Mobile, AL 36609.
