Jaime Arturo Loucel was born in Ostheim, Germany on March 2, 1952 and was a resident of Mobile, AL since 1974. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 8, 2020 at the age of 67. Jaime proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from 09/25/1972 until 09/24/1976, having completed tours that included duty aboard Coast Guard Icebreaker Staten Island (WAGB-278) and as an Aviation Electronics Technician in Mobile, AL, where he met his lovely wife and started his family. He was predeceased by his father Jaime Noel Loucel. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Elizabeth Loucel; Daughters: Melody Noelle Godwin and Katrina Marie Loucel; Grandchildren: Keandre and Sophia Loucel, Elliot and Cadence Godwin; Mother: Louise Marta Loucel; Siblings: Rene (Mary) Loucel, Gladys (Charles) Peraro, and Raymond Loucel; Nieces and Nephews. The family would like to express special appreciation to Alabama Hospice for their excellent care and kindness and Life Church for their prayers and support. A visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a service in the Chapel at 12:00 Noon to celebrate his life.
