James Kenneth Johnson, a native of Carbon Hill, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the age of 78. He was retired from Barnett Millworks and was affiliated with Luke 4:18 Fellowship. He enjoyed fishing, woodcarving, gardening, attending his grandsons' baseball games and was an avid Alabama Football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Leonard Johnson and Cleva Wideman Johnson, and his brother, Harold Carlos Johnson. His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sandra Kay Anderson Johnson; two daughters, Wendy Johnson (Jason) Cannon and Tracy Johnson (Mark) Wilkinson; five grandchildren, Drew (Raven) Moore, Bailee Woodall, Brody Wilkinson, Nick (Julie) Wilkinson and Haley Cannon; one great-grandson, Osias Grayson Moore; extended family and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Fred Wolfe, will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
