James King

James Calvin King, age 84, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Providence Hospital.

James served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, earning his bachelor's and master's degrees.
James taught math for over 30 years in the Huntsville City School District. He moved to Mobile in 2016 to be closer to his son and his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Duvall King, and parents, Alison and Mabel King.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura King Kendrick (Richard); son, James David King (Danielle); grandchildren, Amy Stevenson (Alex), Jessica Kendrick, Chandler James King and Emeree Elizabeth King; and great-grandson, Reed Everett Stevenson.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at Boyd's Chapel United Methodist Church with Dr. Carl Evans officiating.
