James Parker

James Dowel Parker, 46, born November 29th, 1973 in Mobile, Alabama, where he remained a lifelong resident, passed away August 12, 2020. James was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne Ferrara; his father, James R. Parker Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Margerite Rosson. He is survived by his brother, Wesley D. (Tabitha) Parker Sr.; his sister, Morgan N. Parker; his grandmother, Joyce Shepherd; his step-mother, Rhonda Parker; nephews, Wesley D. Parker Jr., Gabriel K. Parker, and Ryan P. McQuade; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. James enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and Alabama football. He was an accomplished ballroom dancer, once ranked 3rd in the world in his age division, and enjoyed teaching and performing.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 10am from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 9am until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
