James Ramey, Jr

James Warner Ramey, Jr., 87, of Mobile, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Jimmy was born on June 12, 1936 in Mobile, Alabama. After graduating from Murphy High School in Mobile in 1955, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He owned and operated his own business, Ramey Construction Products, for many years. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Ramey, Sr. and Gertrude McCarron Ramey, and his brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Sandy Ramey. He is survived by his sisters Annie E. Ramey of Daphne, AL; Frances Ramey Niccolai (Nick) of Mobile, AL; Peggy Ramey McCarthy (Gene) of Cuming, GA and ten nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2pm. Visitation will be 1pm until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
