James Herrin Rogers, Jr., 72, beloved father, grandfather, and friend returned to his heavenly home on November 6th, 2021. He was a native of Mobile and attended UMS and Davidson High School prior to joining his father in the family pest control business, Rogers Exterminating Company, and later selling this business to Terminix. He was a devoted son and father who served as a caregiver most of his adult life. As a passionate lifelong Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball fan he was thrilled after watching the Braves win the World Series just days before his unexpected passing. Cooking was one of his favorite hobbies as he carried on the tradition of his late mother. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved and cherished him. He was preceded in death by his father, James Herrin Rogers and mother Stella McCurley Rogers. He leaves behind 3 sons, James Herrin Rogers III, Dr. William (Traci) Rogers, Kevin (Maribel) Rogers, 6 grandchildren William (Monica), Harrison, Forrest, Grace, Kevin(KK), Madison and 2 great-granddaughters, Chloe and Fianna. A service will be held at noon on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
