James Woods, Sr.

James Bernard Woods Sr. better known as "JB" to most, was called home on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the age of 76. JB, a resident of Lucedale, Mississippi, left this world and entered heavens gates, with family by his side. He was born in Leakesville, Mississippi on August 14, 1944. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Ann Woods; his father, Robert Lee Woods; his mother, Golda Odell; and his brother, Kenny Woods. He is survived by his children, James (Melissa) Woods Jr., Wendy (Greg) Williamson, Cheri Woods, and Nathan Woods; his sisters, Bonnie Coxwell, Nita McKissick, Rita Woods, and Andrea Hunt. He was a proud papa to thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
