Jane Faye Polk Cooner, a lifetime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at the age of 81. She was a retired realtor and former bookkeeper for Cooner Roofing and Siding Co. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling, cooking, the beach, flowers and spending quality time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Warren Polk, Sr. and Faye Lavana Lowe Polk; her husband, Billy Hugh Cooner; a brother, Charles D. Polk; a sister, Charlene Lavana Polk and a daughter, Janie Marie Cooner Sadler. Her survivors include her daughter, Edith Kathleen Cooner; four sons, Steven Dwain (Judy) Cooner, William David Cooner, Robert Warren (Lisa) Cooner and Timothy W. (Evonne) Cooner; her sister, Bettye Ann Polk (Kenneth) McGrath; two brothers, Edgar Warren Polk, Jr. and Geary W. Polk; 11 grandchildren, Shelley (Jason) Ryals, Erin (Dane) DeValk, Kimberly Sadler Mosley, Steven (Kaylee) Sadler, Jeffrey (Lytha) Sadler, Elizabeth Cooner (Robert) Hinman, Tiffany Cooner Wilson, Haley Cooner, Courtney Cooner, Timothy Cooner and Katie Cooner; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
