Janet Orso

Janet Olga Horne Orso, a native of Mobile, AL and current resident of Eight Mile, AL, died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the age of 82.
Janet was a member of Creola Baptist Church; loved to read; was a caregiver for many family members and babysitter for her grandchildren who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert William Horne and Julia Ruth Elizabeth Pryor Horne; her husband and love of her life, Clyce Lamarteen Orso, Jr.; her daughter, Jenine Byrd; her sister, Peggy Burt; and two grandchildren, Jarret Dunnam and Damarc Taylor.
Her survivors include her children, Carol (Steve) Horelick, Patricia (Danny) Overstreet, Elizabeth (Manuel) Martinez, John (Debbie) Wilson, Marian (Jerry Baker) Lider, Darryl (Callie) Orso, James Wilson, Cyndy (Cedric) McIntosh, Sherry (Thomas) Dunnam and Clyce L. (Sylvia) Orso, III; her son-in-law, Donald Byrd; one sister, Trish (Tommy) Roser; two brothers, Wilmer (Alicia) Clarke and Joe (Aileen) Clarke; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor John Blackwell, will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
