Jean Jernigan Green passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2016. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her five siblings and her parents, Hillery H. Jernigan and Lula H. Jernigan. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Milton D. Green; two sons, J. Byron (Therese) Green and Ralph (Nancy) Green; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Mrs. Green was an equal partner of Green Builders, building homes in Mobile for over 50 years. She was also a charter member of Kingswood United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 900 Western America Circle, Suite 209, Mobile, AL 36609.
