Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a true southern lady, welcoming family, and friends to her home for her delicious southern cooking. Jean was an avid dog lover and, in her lifetime, she took care of many. She always had a dog by her side. Jean is remembered by her loved ones and all who knew her, for her warmth, kindness, and generosity.
Jean attended Murphy High School and spent many years working at the Admiral Semmes Hotel where she was well known for her dedicated service and her kindness to fellow employees and customers. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church for many years until her health began to fail.
The family wishes to express its gratitude to Jeanette Hall and Toinette Lewis, for their love and devotion.
With great appreciation, the family thanks Covenant Care Hospice, for making sure her final days were filled with dignity and peace.
To know her was to love her. She will be remembered with great fondness by all who knew her.
