Jennifer Simpson

Jennifer Lynn Scrivener Simpson passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the age of 61 following a long battle with cancer.

Jennifer was perhaps happiest when she was singing to glorify God. We were blessed by her beautiful voice in both her gospel band and her church choir through the years. Her family looks forward to hearing her sweet voice again in Heaven's choir one day.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Scrivener, Sr. and Dorothy Keith Scrivener; and her brother, Woodrow Wilson Scrivener, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Y. Simpson; two children, Christopher Keith Haynes and Jessica Danielle Haynes; granddaughter, Kali Lynn Haynes; three sisters, Judy Hammett (Ken), Jamie Davis (Clayton), and Joy Prescott; longtime devoted friends Mike and Linda Bell; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and funeral services will be on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Mobile, AL. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
