Jenny Hunter Vance entered into this life on December 7, 1932, spending the majority of her life in Mobile, Alabama. She entered into her eternal home on Monday, January 4, 2021 in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Jenny was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mardis Vance; parents, Herbert Hunter and Fannie Nowell Hunter; sisters, Eleanor Russell and Bobbie Jo Harrell; brother, William Hunter; and great-grandchild, Cassidy Summersell.
Survivors include her children, Vicki (Jerry) Downey of Mobile, Alabama, Terri (Glenn) Leach of Conehatta, Mississippi, and Ronnie (Teresa) Vance of Mobile, Alabama; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Fugitt, Sylvia Moore, and Lynn Adams; brothers, Charles Hunter and Jerry Hunter; brother-in-law, Pete Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. James Busby officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Tony Anderson, Josh Vance, Drew Leach, Aaron Hoyt, Rob Byrd, and Rick Andrews.
