Jessie Carlton Coram, a native of Bonifay, FL, former resident of Mobile, AL and current resident of Monroeville, AL, died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the age of 89. He was a US Navy Veteran, served with the Sea Bees on the island of Guam and was a retired boat captain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Wayne Coram and Alma Silmer Fleming Coram and his wife, Verla Mae Ganey Coram. His survivors include his daughter, Beverly Coram Jones; three grandchildren, Rhonda Jones (Wade) Burch, E. Wayne (Vanise) Jones and Christina Jones (Bobby) Nichols; five great-grandchildren, Paige Burch, Nathan Burch, Jennifer (Michael) Roberts, Amy (Anthony) Baker and Emily (Alan) Nalley; one sister, Naomie Ruth Coats; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Graveside services, officiated by Brother Mickey Chandler, will follow at 12:00 Noon in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
