Jessie Mae Cochran Turner, age 90, born in Mobile, AL and a lifelong resident of Eight Mile, AL, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. She was a member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Marion Gele Turner; her parents; two brothers and two sisters. Her survivors include her children, Marion (George) Murr, Kenneth (Vivian) Turner, Sandra (Leo) Crain, and Hollis (David) Guthrie; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Ray (Jo Beth) Cochran; one sister, Shirley Ambrose; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12 noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Turner's name be made to Myers Memorial Baptist Church, 307 S. Shelton Beach Road, Eight Mile, AL 36613.
