Jimmie Alexander Dunkley, a native of Linden, AL and resident of Grand Bay, AL died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Long Dunkley; his parents, George Dunkley and Thelma Grimes Dunkley; brothers-in-law George Henry and Ed Goode; and his son-in-law, Benjamin Carey, III. He is survived by his son, Jimmie D. (Jo Anna) Dunkley; his daughters, Andrea Dunkley (Darren) Hill, and Amanda Carey; his brothers Cecil Dunkley and Louis Dunkley; his sisters Mary Dunkley Goode, Evelyn Dunkley Henry, and Frances Dunkley Crouch; four grandchildren, Stephanie Dunkley, Eric Dunkley, Victoria Hill, and Eva Hill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Eric Dunkley, Gary Boykin, Jr., Wayne Pressley, Geary Ward, Denny Baynham, Douglas Henry, Edwin Henry and Marlin Goode. Honorary Pallbeaers will be Jimmie D. Dunkley, Darren Hill, Cecil Dunkley, and Louis Dunkley. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
