Joan Brewer

Mrs. Joan Emma Brewer, age 73. Born on September 26, 1943 in Kenilworth, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Mobile, Alabama. She was a longtime and faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel & Emma Laskay; brother, George Laskay, Sr.; sister, Emma Mary Williams; two grandchildren, Nicole Marie Husosky and Melissa Joan Harrison. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Cleve Brewer; daughters, Cynthia Joan (Scott) Talbot, Sandra Melony (Charles) Hubbard, Candice Jerri (Howard) Biby; grandchildren, Crystal Melanie (Clancy) Griffin, Desiree Leigh Husosky, John Robert West, Jr., Christina Emma Talbot, Scott Allen Talbot, Sheree Inez (Steven) Varnes; great grandchildren, Maxwell Carter Talbot, Jaydin Nicole Delhomme; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 12 noon from Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5 pm to 8 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and also on Tuesday beginning at 11 am at the church.
