Joan Marie Heinrichs 86, passed away peacefully in her home December, 31 2018. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dave (Butch) Eckstein, Leapoled (Sonny) Eckstein, grandson Robert (Lil Bob) Charles Crane jr, and dear friend Lucy Harris. Joan is survived by her dearly loving and truly devoted husband, of 54 years (10 days shy of their 55th anniversary), Lonny Heinrichs who said, and I quote "These were the best 54 years of my life! " She is also survived by her loving children; Robert (Bob) & wife Sue Crane, Joanne & husband Joseph Capille, Louann Heinrichs. Grandchildren, Sandra Joan Shaner, Michael & wife Lori Crane, Joshua Capille, Joanna Brown, Walter (Eric) Brown, Ryan Brown. Great grandchildren, Katlin Shaner, Ayden Crane, Michael Crane, Aiden Capille, also survived by brother Buddy Eckstein, sister Barbra & husband Butch Dammann, sister in law Shirley Eckstein, nephews and niece; Lisa Cincotti, Karl Dammann , David & wife Lori Eckstein, Sherrie & husband Louis McIntyre, Danny & wife Malissa Eckstein, Deanna Peters, Elizabeth Peters, Patrick Peters. Great nieces & nephews: Carley & husband Daniel Elmore, Jada & husband Richard Weaver, Kristi & husband Ronnie Taylor, Jamie Eckstein, Danlee Eckstein, Maggie Eckstein, Cory & wife Hillary Eckstein, Cody Eckstein. Great great-nephews & nieces, Ryder Elmore, Sadie Elmore, Olivia Weaver, Nathan Taylor, Halle Taylor, Asher Eckstein, Macie Eckstein, Cue Eckstein, Anzlee Eckstein, dear to her and best friend Eileen Glick. Joan was born and raised in Atlantic city, New Jersey. Her career, the early years in the inlet included; Captain Starnes Restaurant having served Earnest Heming way there was one of the high lights of her life. Ventnor hotel restaurant where her son Bob had fond memories of going to work with her and swimming in the pool & at Captain Dan's having hamburgers and shakes. When she worked for Buffalo Plastics her daughter Joanne had fond memories playing with the tv's she helped manufacture. Joan and Lon moved south to Alabama, they entered into their own business which has prospered and continues on today working the model they set in place. Her daughter Louann was fortunate to work with and learn from her. Joan worked hard doing many jobs to make ends meet. So many great memories, could go on and on. She will be missed but never gone from our hearts and memories. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.
