Joan Loftin

Joan Frances Hansen Loftin was born in Mobile, Alabama on Jan 6, 1937, at Providence to Claude Michael Hansen and Marjorie Fabre Hansen. She was one of five children; Claudette Morjorie , Colin Michael, Kay Maxine and Charles Mark. She was married to James Leigh Loftin and had two children, Mark Oliver and Jill Leigh. She had 3 nieces, and many cousins aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sibling Kay and her granddaughter Sarah Loftin.

She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Primary Catholic School. She graduated from Bishop Toolen High School. She entered into and graduated from Providence Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She received her certificate to give anesthesia from Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Her career in nursing spanned 55 years. She was counted among the first practicing CRNA's in the state if Alabama.

Joan Loftin's service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9 to 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery located on Dauphin Island Parkway.
