Joe Kempner

Joe William Kempner, a native of Oak Grove, AL and current resident of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, November 6, 2015 at the age of 92. He was a former member of Dauphin Island Baptist Church. Joe served in the US Air Force for over 20 years and retired as Master Sergeant. He also retired from NASA-General Dynamics in Logistics. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wollfe Kempner and Mary Zeola Pugh Carpenter; his wife, Doris Elizabeth Kempner and two grandchildren, Mitch and Stevie Kempner. His survivors include his children, Michael Anthony (Margaret) Kempner, Joseph David Kempner, Patrick Wayne (Cindy) Kempner, Marianne Kempner and Sharon Kempner Frank; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
