John Brown, Sr.

Mr. John Calvin Brown, Sr- A native of Runnelstown, MS and resident of Jacksonville, FL died on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the age 91. Mr. Brown was a veteran of World War II in the Army Air Corps. He worked for 31 years with the Post Office and retired as Post Master in Chickasaw, AL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Basler. He is survived by his wife, Louise Henderson Brown; one son, John C. (Ana) Brown Jr; two stepchildren, Paula A. (Tom) Yates and Michael J. Morris; one sister Betty (Hugh) Mitchell; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Community Hospice, (Dr. Gaston J.
