John E. Groves, Jr., a native of Boston, MA and a longtime resident of Mobile, passed away on Tuesday. He was a longtime member of the Masons and was retired from the City of Mobile. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Groves, Se. and Marian E Scott Groves and his sister, Marian Groves. He is survived by his son, Waylon Groves of Mandevilla, LA and daughter, Briana Groves of Mobile two grandchildren, Ethan and Catherine and the mother of his children, Jean Sheffield and other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 10 AM. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 PM.
