John E. Lavert Ladnier "Bubba"

John E. Lavert "Bubba" Ladnier Sr., a lifelong resident of Irvington, Alabama, passed away on May 1, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mrs. Eula Childress "Snooks" Ladnier and four children: Mr. John E. Lavert (Nancy) Ladnier, Jr., Mr. Royce (Tina) Ladnier, Dr. Jamie (Danny) Hawkins, and Mrs. Amanda (Zack) Turberville. Lavert "Bubba" was born in Bayou La Batre, AL on February 23, 1941. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Delores (Tillman) Ladnier, also of Bayou La Batre. He retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 119 with 55 years of dedicated service and remained an active member until his passing. Lavert "Bubba" was a Master plumber and worked with Honeywell for approximately 38 years. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church for 70 years where he also served as a deacon. Lavert "Bubba" was known for his service to others.
In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by the following family members: Jackie (Dolly) Ladnier; Mickey (Kate) Ladnier; Willie (Theresa) Hall as well as the following grandchildren: Connie (Rodger) Kelley; Nicholas (Misty) Ladnier; John E. Lavert (Amanda) Ladnier III (also known as T-John); Heather Ladnier; Jared Hicks; Jada Ladnier; Brent (Haley) Ladnier; Royce Ladnier II; Caroline Hicks; Victoria Turberville; Huston Hawkins, Maranda Hawkins, and Faith Hawkins. Great grandchildren include Savannah Williams, Colton Ladnier, and John E. Lavert Ladnier IV (also known as John-E). In addition, he had many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 5, beginning at 12, followed by a funeral service at 2, with graveside service in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Amber Gordon and the other doctors and nurses at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center for their support.
