McGOWAN, Sr.
John Patrick McGowan, Sr., a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died at home on Monday, August 15, 2016. He was retired from Alcoa. He was preceded in death by his son, Nello McGowan. He is survived by his wife, Linda Finch McGowan; three children, Cheryl E. McGowan, John P McGowan, Jr. and Jeffry M. McGowan; one brother Martin S. McGowan, Jr.; three sisters, Margaret R. Scott, Kaky Hughes and Ann Druhan; grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10 am. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
