Joseph Reynolds Bochenek, a native of Gloversville, NY and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Joe had over 40 years of service in law enforcement including, but not limited to, Deputy Sheriff for the Mobile County and Jail Warden for the City of Mobile, AL. He was a US Airforce and US Coast Guard Veteran, with a total of 33 years of service and a graduate of the University of South Alabama. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Bochenek, Sr. and Laura Naomi Berry Beyer, and his brother, Thomas Bochenek. His survivors include Sarah Bochenek; his son, Jozef T. (Natasha) Bochenek; two brothers, Theodore (Laura) Bochenek, Jr. and Fredrick (Deborah) Bochenek; one grandson, Oskar Bochenek; other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 5:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
