Joseph "Joe" George Chinchar, 73, of Mobile, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his home. Joe was born March 11, 1943 to Anna and John Chinchar. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Joe was an avid fisherman, an active member of his church and Sunday school teacher. He will be remembered for his generosity toward others. He was known to open his heart and home to anyone in need. Joe is survived by his children, Kimberly Chinchar (Brandon Wright), Sterling Chinchar, Brad (Kathryn) Kelley and Holly (Kurt) Rupnow; grandchildren, Zane Chinchar, Skye and Caitlyn Rupnow and Alora and Annamae Wright; other relatives and friends. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and John Chinchar; brothers, Stephan and John Chinchar; daughter, Michelle Chinchar, and his beloved wife, Susan Chinchar. The family will be having a graveside service for immediate family and friends on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 9:30 AM in Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL. There will be a memorial service at Kingwood United Methodist Church, 5200 Perin Road, Mobile, AL on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with a reception immediately following.
