Upon his arrival Joe briefly lived in Manhattan, NYC before moving to New Jersey. In 1984, Joe, moved the family from Toms River, New Jersey to Mobile, Alabama where he retired after 30 years as an accountant with Ciba-Geigy.
Joe was raised Catholic and was an alter boy at the local churches in New York City and New Jersey. This began his lifelong service to the Lord. He met his future love of his life, Marilyn in high school, which blossomed into more than 60 years of marriage, 4 children and many grand/great grandchildren.

Joe was an accomplished Varsity high school athlete and was twice awarded first team All-State football team. As a result, he was elected to the St Joseph Football Hall of Fame. Joe graduated from Monmouth University with a degree in Accounting.
Joe was also an avid tennis player. He enjoyed nothing more than the time he spent with his family and his many friends.
