Julius James Delhomme, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the age of 79.
He retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service and from the US Postal Service after 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Eunice Fortner and Mary-Margaret Murdoch; and his parents, Gentry Delhomme and Myrtis McInnis Davis.
His survivors include his wife, Wanda Funderburk Delhomme; his children, Kelly (Benny) Haven, Ronald (Diane) Delhomme, Bryan Delhomme, Karen (Weldon) Etheredge, Lisa (Bill) Bush and Bill "Trey" (Shannon) Crouch; one sister, Helen (Steve) Graham; 11 grandchildren, Justin, Kristin (Kevin), Destiny (Scott), Brantley, Gentry, Greg (Christina), Tim ("TJ"), Morgan, Jacob, Katelyn and Conner; 9 great-grandchildren, Jaden, Emberley, Trent, Colton, Emma, Jay, Weston, Elizabeth and John; his former wife, June Richard; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
