June Heard

June Freeland Heard, a native of Mobile, Alabama, and resident of Roswell, Georgia, passed away at 9:00 on August 10, 2017 at the age of 91. She taught in the Mobile County School System for 38 years at Baker Elementary School and E.R. Dickson Elementary School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Roswell, Georgia and a former member of Spring Hill Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School and missions programs for many years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma educational foundation. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Edward Heard: her parents Floriene Robert Freeland and Howard Eugene Freeland, and, and her bother Elwood (Bill) Freeland. She is survived by her daughter Melisa Murdock McKee, her son-in-law Timothy Daniel McKee and two grandchildren, Kathleen Patton Murdock and Andrew Edward Murdock, all of Roswell, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 12:00 with visitation at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
