Karon Cote

Karon Jo Cote passed away peacefully on October 18, 2022 at the age of 74 in Mobile, Alabama. Born in Corning, New York in 1948, Karon attended Barrington College in Rhode Island where she met her future husband, Everett. They relocated to Mobile, Alabama in 1987 due to Everett's job transfer. As a stay-at-home mom, she loved to cook, garden, paint and take care of her two boys Jason and Matthew. Karon and Everett have been members of Cottage Hill Baptist Church for the last 35 years.
Karon is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Shirley Van Dusen and her sister Carol Van Dusen.
Karon is survived by her husband of 51 years, Everett; two sons, Jason (Andie) and Matt (Leslie); three grandchildren, Caitlyn, Camden, and Matthew; two brothers, Guy and Jack; one sister, Shalley; mother-in-law, Nina Cote; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Her celebration of life will be held October 29, 2022 at Mobile Memorial Gardens at 10:30, followed by a noon service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
