Katie Dyson

Katie Dyson, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 6, 2018, with her daughters and friends by her side.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Henry Dyson, her mother, Katie Milstead and father, Leland House.
Katie was born in Atmore, Alabama and moved to Mobile at an early age. She retired from RiteAid after 30 years as a cosmetician. Katie was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. She embraced God and her family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Dyson and Patricia Dyson Jackson, granddaughter, Dana Ryan Melnick (Michael), great granddaughter, Madeline, great grandson, Charles and two longtime and devoted friends, Mary Mosley and Lillian Brining Debeneoetto.
Katie was blessed by the love, care and friendship of Evelyn Hollings, Karen Eldridge, Dorothy Taliaferro, Shelia Nodd, Sonya Ward, Elaine Schiener and Arlene Malone.
She will be forever missed by her family and friends. Visitation will take place Monday, August 13, 2018, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
