Katie Clara Gubler McCreadie, born December 15, 1989 in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
She is deeply loved and missed by her family, many friends and all who were blessed to cross her path in this life.
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Edith Gubler McCreadie and Dr. John William McCreadie, sister Alana McCreadie, brother Kane McCreadie, fiancé Dean Rigsby, and from Canada, Aunt Helen McCreadie, cousin Johnny McCreadie, Uncle George Bluett and cousins Riley and Reagan Bluett, Aunt and Uncle Doris and David Martin, cousins Christina Martin, Kevin and Kim Martin, Eric Martin and Jia Lu and many more extended family. She is also survived by her much loved work family at the Environmental Studies Center, where she worked and volunteered since she was 10 yrs. old. She was also pursuing a degree in Biology at the University of South Alabama.
Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Three Notch Road on Saturday August 11th 5:00-8:00pm, Sunday August 12th 12:00-2:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm. After the service, family and friends are invited to celebrate Katie's life at a reception in the Auditorium of the Environmental Studies Center at 6101 Kirby Road Mobile, AL. Donations in memory of Katie may be made to the Mobile County Public School System Environmental Studies Center (ESC) through a GoFundMe page in Katie's name titled "Katie McCreadie's Fur Babies - ESC".
