Our beloved daddy, granddaddy, great granddaddy, uncle, brother and friend, Mr. Kenneth O'Neil Manning peacefully departed while surrounded by his family on November 16th, 2021 at the age of 90 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his Sons, Danny (Debbie) Manning and Donnie Manning; Grandchildren Daphne (Shannon), Dwan (Billy), Adam (Jamie), Patience (Kenny), Chaunette (Zac) and Alexandra (Michael), 15 Great grandchildren; Althea (Jim) Daugherty, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, as well as countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
Kenneth is predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years, Nan Manning, their daughter Micky Manning, his sister, Jeanine Manning; and his parents, Radford and Eunice Manning.
Kenneth, an Alabama native who spent most of his life in the greater Mobile area, was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, a good truck, motorcycles, sports and God's creation. He worked as a milk man and a pipe fitter at International Paper Co for 27 years before joining the family grocery business in 1975. He was a devoted member of Georgetown Baptist church where he enjoyed fellowship and good cooking on Sundays. He was hard-working, strong, loving and forgiving, but above all, the travel enthusiast was a dedicated family man who loved Jesus Christ as his Savior.
We are thankful for the gift of his life, everything and everyone he touched and the countless memories we all had the pleasure of creating with him over the years together.
A Visitation / Prayer Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on November 18th, 2021, to be directly followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL 36619.
