Lagatha Jernigan

Lagatha Jernigan (56) passed February 24, 2017. She was born April 20, 1960 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. She was raised in Irvington, Alabama, and was a long time resident of Mobile, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father, Arven Owens; grandparents, Harrison and Erna Owens, and George and Ethel Peace; granddaughter, Elizabeth Hope Jones. She is survived by; husband Recie Jernigan; mother, Margaret Owens; daughter, Miranda (Michael) Ebersole; Son, Russell (Amy) Jones; grandchildren, Owen, Mikayla, Michael, and Sara Ebersole; and Caroline Jones; brothers, Arven (Paula) Owens , and Shawn (Julia) Owens; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers are; Russell Jones, Matthew O'Saile, Kerry Deakle, Curtis Mann, Brian Owens, and Shawn Owens, Jr. . Visitation will be on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, followed by graveside services and interment in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
