Larry Duane Price, aged 84, peacefully passed away December 23, 2020 at home of complications of renal failure. He was a resident of Mobile, Alabama, for 44 years. He was formerly of Blue Island, Illinois. Beloved husband of 62 yrs to Geraldine Darnall Price, father to three sons, Timothy, Jeffrey, and Shawn Price. Larry also is survived by his granddaughters Haley Mixson, Tabitha Braswell, Ashley Meinert and Casey Price; his grandson Joshua Price; his great-grandsons Mason Mixson, Colton Mixson, and Wells Braswell; his sister Elaine Price. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Edith Price, and his brothers Ronald and Douglas Price.

An inventor by vocation [Pick-Up-Pollution Machine] and a pharmacist by trade, Larry was well-known for his humor and kindness. Larry was an inspiration to those who knew him, and he never failed to have a kind word for everyone. Mr. Price had owned Larry’s Apothecary in Blue Island, Illinois, formerly Hart’s Drug Store, and his family formed many lasting bonds with those they served. In Alabama, Larry worked at multiple pharmacies, but he was drawn to the Grand Bay area, working there for over 15 years. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Mobile, Alabama. Larry Price was an avid outdoorsman, a Master Mason and also a member of George U. Potter Lodge #912.

His family will have a private memorial due to the impact of current pandemic; in lieu of flowers or other gifts, they kindly request that you make a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in his name.
