Laura Powell

Laura Elizabeth "Betty" Crivellari Powell, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Thursday, November 15, 2018 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Powell and her parents, Thomas Robert Crivellari and Mattie Ola Williams Crivellari.
Betty was baptized July 5, 1997 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She served faithfully as a member of the Southwest Congregation for the remainder of her life. She worked twenty-one years at the University of South Alabama in the Student Activities Department.
Her survivors include one niece, Brenda Powell (George) Wirth; one nephew, Thomas A. Grissett; many cousins; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Landon Crigler, will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
