Lauraine "Toots" Bremner Everett peacefully departed this earthly life on September 14, 2018 at the age of 71. Lauraine was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on October 3, 1946 to the late Cecil and Gertrude Bremner. She was a graduate of Southwest High School in Miami, Florida. She was a longtime Florida resident and dedicated many years of service at Eckerd Youth Development Center in Okeechobee, Fl as an Intake Counselor where she impacted countless young lives. After her retirement in 2009, she became a resident of Mobile. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to bake and cook with her daughters and grandchildren. She had a passion for canning and enjoyed spending time in her kitchen. She embraced the opportunity to make things for others, which gave her such joy. Although she was immensely proud of her Scottish heritage, she was profoundly patriotic. She had deep pride in the fact that her son David is a US Marine and her son-in-law Bruno serves in the US Air Force. She truly loved the red, white and blue. Lauraine was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her daughter Kim Fry of Tampa, FL, daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Bruno Robles of Brandon, FL, her son and daughter-in-law Dave and Kylie Durrance of Mobile, AL, her ex-husband and best friend David Durrance of Mobile, AL, her sister Cecilia Scanlon of Miami, FL, and her precious grandchildren Tara Fry, David Wemple, Dalton Alderman, Maree and Nick Robles, Gavin, Connor, Ella and Kaitlyn Durrance. She is preceded in death by her sister Fran May and her husband David Everett. She will be dearly missed and will forever be in the hearts of her family who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Savior. "If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart. I'll stay there forever"
