Lenora Cadden

Lenora Ashcraft Cadden of Chickasaw, AL passed away July 29, 2023 at 94. Lenora was born in Mobile and is preceded in death by her husband W. E. Cadden; her parents William Howard and Marie Miller Ashcraft; and her siblings Howard, Johnny, and Bobby Ashcraft, Jo Ann Bishoff, and Dot Wright. She is survived by her sister Pat (Tom) Adams; 4 sons, Ed (Lynn) of Mobile, Paul (Margaret) of Fairhope, Mike (Laurent) of Mobile, and John (Noelle) of Birmingham; 9 grandchildren, Lee (Lacy) Cadden and Dan (Kelly) Cadden of Auburn, Austin (Michelle) Cadden and Will Cadden of Fairhope, Mary Catherine (James) Artzer and David Cadden of Atlanta, Steele (Jordan) Cadden and Bailey (Kayla) Cadden of Birmingham, and Millie Cadden of Nashville; and adopted son Kenny (Patti) Norris of Orange Beach and their children Carri Norris of New Orleans, Cam (Haley) Norris of Fairhope, and Katie (Trey) Bolling of Birmingham. She had 8 great-grandchildren and 3 adopted great-grandchildren.

Lenora was in several mystic societies, the Chickasaw Garden Club, and an active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Chickasaw. She enjoyed cooking, especially pound cakes and fruit cake cookies, gardening, sewing, and sharing her gifts with others. She was dedicated to her family and friends and was always available to help anyone in need.

The family would like to thank Natasha Pettaway for her kindness and care during Lenora's final years.

The visitation will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Mobile, on Saturday, August 12, 10:00 - 10:50 AM. The service will follow in the church at 11:00 AM and continue graveside at Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
